PRO-LEC INSTALLS EPOS TILLS FOR SKY 1 TROLLIED

We attended the set and even we were surprised at the lengths that the production designer Julian Fullalove and his team had gone to, this truly is a full size superstore specially constructed for the series.

The entire team had gone to great lengths to research and create the real thing so it was only fair that we did the same

For Trollied we chose to use the ICR TOUCH software that is supplied on our epos systems as we knew that with this versatile platform we would be able to adapt the epos system to do any of the unusually strange things that would happen in this rather unusual store, such as Margaret's Plum tomatoes scanning.

ICR enabled us to recreate the design that the production team had designed and incorporate it within the system to include the Valco backgrounds, screen and receipts. The team was shown how to program the system and do the funny tricks, what will they do next.

Trollied debuted as the most successful multi-channel comedy ever, and riding high on the runaway success of season 1, Sky1 HD is proud to announce a return to Valco, following the commission of a second and third series, and a Christmas special!

Lucy Lumsden, Head of Comedy at Sky commented: "The staff at Valco served you right. I'm thrilled that Trollied has clearly struck a chord and will be back on our screens next year."

Trollied a world we're all familiar with, and manages to find the comedy in the mundane, the observations of how we all behave - whether it's squeezing avocados to see if they're ripe, or spending an hour browsing through the magazine section.

It's not just the customers though - Valco is a world populated by the types of characters you might expect to find working in a supermarket - each employee feels like somebody you've either worked with before, or perhaps you know somebody who has. From the slackers to the power-crazed middle managers, each character is recognisable and real.

Stuart Murphy, the director of Sky 1 HD said "following the tremendous response from customers, we're delighted to announce a second and third season. At Sky, we act quickly to reward and recognise great work, and as part of our growing commitment to original content, we will continue to back the creative brilliance of British talent."
